This was a quick die cut card - all dies are marianne....

This card is 5 x 5 - I used the marianne dies for all of it....

Little baubles... just love the snowflake embossing folder for the background...

 Here I used the spellbinder snowflakes sets - I think I used  1 from each set...

 I used some of the new joy dies on the corners...just love them...

 I have never really liked poisettia's in the home...  but this year, for some odd reason, I just love the poisettia dies - can't get enough!

 I had to do a glitter one... I hadn't used any of my quickutz dies in what seems like forever, so I dug out my christmas folder, and oh.... couldn't resist this bell one.

I can't beleive I last posted in August!  I have been a little pre-occupied though.  Oldest daughter has gone off to university, and the summer was really difficult, trying to come to terms with the idea!

So, after my blue and white cards, I decided to do red and white....

This is my red and white period!!

Whilst on holiday in Florida a couple of years ago, in our second week..... I discovered that all 25cent coins had a state on the back.....aaaagggghhhh I didn't know this, and it was too late to start looking for them all, soooo we got as many as we could find, which was about 17..........

THEN... my dear friend was going to Las Vegas for a holiday, and I asked if she would collect the rest for me - she said she had so much fun doing it.  She didn't know that each state had a coin either...

well

here they are!!!!

All in their little protective wrappers, I have now ordered the 50 states cricut cartridge, and can't wait to do a scrapbook just for them!

each state will have a coin - flag - state - tree - bird - flower

and anything else I can think of...yey!!!

let it snow...

These were last years heirloom dies... but the snowfalkes are this years new release...

I cut out the snowflakes, and stuck on small bit to the top layer,(before sticking the whole thing together) cut around, then carried it down to the next layer, and cut around the last. It is a bit fiddly, but lovely when finished.

Blue on white

I just love white and blue on white for christmas....

I had a few images that I had coloured in last year, and when I found them again, I was going to bin them....then the thrift in me said no.... so I sat and had a play...

Where does the time go?

I really can't beleive that it has been 4 months since I was last here....
I will have to make up for it!!!

I wanted to make both the girls a little album each full of 'our family chrismtas' things - photographs of them from sitting on santa's knee to now!

I will include family traditions - recipies - favourite things... etc.  I want them to have a little christmas to take with them when they leave home...(eventually).  They are now 20 and 18 years of age....
It is very much a work in progress, I now have to decorate them.

They are made from cereal boxes, envelopes and cards.

 I have used backing papers that are cutsie, but they will be covered with photographs.

 The spine is decorated with wired ribbon

ladybirds

 I am not brilliant at colouring in reds, but I thought I would give it another go... still not great, but I will not give up. The same can be said for my bow making... I am rubbish, but have now got a little bow maker thingy, with prongs, so it should help...lol..  I have been waiting to use these little ladybirds on something, glad I kept them by.
